I have a lot of trouble parting with some things…

This Jurassic Park themed bath pack, for example, was a graduation gift from a friend of mine. A high school graduation gift.

Notice that it’s still fully intact.

Yes, it was kind of a gag gift, but I’ve still attached a lot of meaning to it.

And I’m not quite ready to get rid of it yet.

(However, if anyone has an interest in vintage dinosaur-shaped bath products, I may be convinced to sell…) 😉

Once upon a time I did this model UN thing…

It was my third trip to Canada and first to Montreal. (The other two were visits to Toronto.) The McGill Model UN was pretty awesome.

I met a bunch of people there, and now I’m wondering if I’ve run across any of them without knowing since I’ve been down here in DC. Wish I could remember more names.

Looks like there’s a paper I wrote about the whole thing… I’ll have to see if I have an electronic copy somewhere.

More classic finds…

Two trading cards from the early 90s: a pack of Desert Storm trading cards (from Topps) featuring this “dashing” pic of then Secretary of Defense Dick Cheney… and a Garbage Pail Kids card (I’ve got a lot of these somewhere).

There are also packs of art trading/collector’s cards featuring art from Boris Vallejo, Greg Hildebrant, Frank Franzetta, and Moebius. Less notable: Youngblood and Ghost Rider sets. The disparity in art quality between the former batch and the latter is amazing…
